Edie Sedgwick (Sienna Miller) is a young woman from a rich family. After she drops out of art school in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1965, she meets Andy Warhol (Guy Pearce), who finds her interesting, and she becomes a "Warhol superstar" in The Factory. She starts using drugs. Also she gets into financial trouble, because Warhol hardly pays her for her work, claiming that little money comes in, while her parents refuse to support her beyond paying half of her rent, because they disapprove of her lifestyle.
